Celeb Secrets: Can you introduce yourself and tell us a little bit about yourself for our readers who may just be discovering you?

Jor’Dan Armstrong (JA): “I’m a singer-songwriter, producer, and actor originally from Louisiana.”

CS: When did you start singing and what inspired you to get into music? When did you decide to pursue singing professionally?

JA: “I started singing at the young age of five. My mom made me sing my first solo in church and to be honest I enjoyed the response from the congregation and honestly, I think that is what started my music career lol. I started doing music professionally at the age of 18.”

CS: Who are some artists that inspire your music/artistry?

JA: “So many artists inspire me; like the late great Michael Jackson and Prince. But new artists such as Drake and Kanye West also really inspire me.”

CS: Your recent release “L.H.U.Y. (Let Him Use Ya)” is so good! For people that haven’t heard it, what can they expect from it?

JA: “‘L.H.U.Y. (Let Him Use Ya)’ is such a fun song that plays on a slogan I would hear in church as a kid. Ee would constantly yell or shout ‘Let Him Use Ya’ in church to encourage whoever was speaking or singing.”

CS: Can you go more in-depth about the meaning behind the song and its creative process?

JA: “The creative process of the song was easy as far as the music, it was a track I produced in about an hour and the song’s lyrics just began to flow. I played it for my team and they loved it, at that moment I knew I had something.”

CS: You’ve teased that your upcoming album is coming sometime in 2022 — how has the process been going? What can you tease from this upcoming music?

JA: “2022 is going to be amazing! I’m excited about the new music and I have some special guest features. I think when you guys hear who they are, you’ll be excited as well.”

CS: Will it have a similar sound to “L.U.H.Y (Let Him Use Ya)”?

JA: “The sound of this project is very mixed so be on the lookout for that!”

CS: If you could describe your upcoming album/music in three words, what would they be and why?

JA: “Fun, inspirational, and uplifting, each of those are so necessary in these times.”

CS: All your songs are so open, honest and just all around inspirational. When you make music, what’s the main thing that you want listeners to take from your songs?

JA: “Vulnerability! I really believe people can hear it through the music and they can feel it.”

CS: Lastly, since we are Celeb Secrets, what are some behind-the-scenes secrets from making your music that people wouldn’t know just by listening to it?

JA: “That this project is being recorded and created in the guest bedroom of my condo (laughs).”
