Lady Gaga has had a bit of a tough time recently as she has been suffering from chronic back pain, forcing her to postpone the European leg of her Joanne World Tour.
She released a Netflix original documentary, Gaga: Five Foot Two, which allowed the fans to see into Gaga’s life and how badly she struggles with fibromyalgia which causes her great pain.
Followers were engrossed in Gaga’s openness and honesty in her documentary, even Beyoncé, who sent the star flowers as a sign of support. She has now rearranged the European tour dates and seems to be feeling better, much to the excitement of fans.
But today, the Grammy award winner took to Twitter and Instagram to announce that her Joanne album has been certified platinum in the US. She followed the announcement with some pictures of her news, thanking her fans for their support and love.

“Feels good for #Joanne to be Platinum in the United States, w/ an album I made so from my [heart]” the star wrote on her Instagram. Her devoted fans congratulated her and celebrated amongst themselves as the news spread.
Joanne is Gaga’s fifth studio album, comprised of various genres such as pop and country, which made her the first woman to have four US number one albums in the 2010s.

The star has six Grammy Awards, three Brit Awards, a Golden Globe Award, thirteen MTV Video Music Awards and the inaugural Songwriters Hall of Fame’s Contemporary Icon Award. She hasn’t done bad at just 31 years old!
Recently, Gaga also attended at the One America Appeal Relief concert in Texas as a surprise speaker and entertainer. She was accompanied by five former presidents of the United States for the cause and helped raise £31m (and counting).
“It was an honor to be invited by these five living Presidents to perform and speak at this historic event where we put our differences aside, and put humanity first in the face of catastrophe.” she wrote on Instagram.
It is no wonder why she was named Woman of the Year by Billboard in 2015 as her philanthropic work and social activism has helped thousands. She has fought for LGBT rights and built her own foundation, the Born This Way Foundation, which promotes youth empowerment and fights against bullying.
We congratulate Lady Gaga for Joanne becoming platinum in America. She is an icon, an artist and an influential advocate for so many important causes that affect today’s society.
