Buckle up – Marshmello, Noah Cyrus, and Ookay have just spiced up your summer 2017 playlist. The three have teamed up for an energetic collaboration sure to be on replay, “Chasing Colors”.
Noah Cyrus may come from a musical family, but she’s been making some serious waves of her own with the widely played “Make Me (Cry)”, and building up a fanbase of her own. Marshmello is an artist to watch this year, after releasing viral hits such as “Ritual” and “Alone”, on top of rocking stages such as Ultra Festival and Sunrise Festival in his signature all-white outfit and iconic helmet. Ookay worked with Diplo on a version of Avicii’s “You Make Me Okay”, and has released bangers of his own such as “Thief” and “Ghost”.
“Chasing Colors” starts off sounding mellow (or should we say mello?), with Noah Cyrus’ ethereal vocals opening up the song. A mix of both electronic artists is heard in the song, with Ookay’s incorporation of trap music elements and Marshmello’s calming chord-like synths.
Haven’t heard it yet? Have a listen!
